Best Fertilization Program for Potatoes

Potatoes

Here is the schedule for fertilizing the potato crop, which is spread out across the days of the week from Saturday to Friday under the drip irrigation system, beginning with the preparation of the ground for planting and ending with harvest, knowing that the area of a feddan is 4200 meters

First, before planting

Some fertilizers are added to the land before planting. They are as follows:

  • organic fertilizer (20 cubic meters/feddan), ammonium sulfate (100 kg/feddan), superphosphate (400 kg/feddan), magnesium sulfate (25 kg/feddan), sulfate potassium (50 kg), agricultural sulfur (100 kg/feddan), then the land is plowed well to ensure that the fertilizers mix with the soil.

Second, fertilize after planting.

The process of fertilizing acres of potatoes after planting begins from the age of 10 to the end of the crop, as follows:

After that, the fertilization process stops, and the process of filtering the throne begins. Two liters of potassium sulfate, potassium citrate, and one liter of boron are added, which is used to spray one acre.

This process is repeated weekly until a week before harvest, after which the plants are sprayed with contact herbicides to dry before harvest.
